25 YEARS LATER…HYUNDAI IS STILL PROUDLY DRIVING SOUTH AFRICAN MOTORISTS

Hyundai Hunt Campaign Confirms Mzansi’s Love for the Brand. After eight weeks of clues and cross-country adventures, Hyundai Automotive South Africa has officially crowned the winner of its nationwide Hyundai Hunt campaign. Aruna Jimmie, 52, from Pinetown takes home the grand prize of a brand-new Hyundai EXTER.

Launched to celebrate 25 years of Hyundai in South Africa, the campaign transformed everyday spaces into a nationwide game, drawing in thousands of participants from across the country. From bustling malls to Hyundai dealerships, players followed a moving digital pin, unlocked clues and competed for daily prizes and ultimately, the grand prize.

For Jimmie, what began as a bit of fun quickly became something much bigger.

“What started as something fun to do turned into this incredible adventure. I was driving around, following clues, meeting people and just enjoying the experience,” she said. “This stunning EXTER is going to change so much for me and my family. I sincerely thank Hyundai for creating a moment I will never forget.”

The campaign was designed to thank South Africans for 25 years of loyalty, blending technology with real-world exploration and bringing consumers closer to the brand in a unique way.

Presenting the vehicle, Sidney Francis, Dealer Principal at Hyundai Pinetown said the moment captured exactly what the campaign set out to achieve.

“This campaign was about celebrating Mzansi, the Hyundai brand and the journeys we have shared over 25 years. The winner being from here in Pinetown makes this occasion even more special. You could see just how real and meaningful this experience was for Aruna.”

With thousands of South Africans taking part and engaging with the brand in an exciting way, the Hyundai Hunt has proven that after 25 years, the Hyundai brand still resonates with Mzansi consumers.
Hyundai Automotive South Africa recently achieved a major milestone of selling over 800,00 vehicles in South Africa. The company has also been an industry trailblazer, becoming the first automotive brand in the country to introduce a 7-year/200,000 km warranty. This bold move set a new standard for customer confidence and reliability, compelling other manufacturers to follow suit.
The brand’s nationwide presence is equally impressive, with 97 dealerships across South Africa.
