The moment local football spectators have been waiting for is finally upon us with this weekend’s Nedbank Cup quarterfinals set to mark the long-awaited return of spectators to the stadiums.

Tickets for the upcoming fixtures are available at Ticketpro outlets nationwide at R40 each.

In addition to a valid match ticket, members of the public will be required to produce proof of vaccination and an ID copy at the gate before being granted access to the stadium. Gates will open at least three hours before kick-off and football spectators are encouraged to arrive early.

Nedbank’s Group Executive for Marketing and Corporate Affairs Khensani Nobanda said: “The return of live football has been a long time coming. We are immensely excited that this return will take place at the Nedbank Cup, just as the 2020 Nedbank Cup hosted football’s initial return post the hard lockdown period. As tournament sponsors, we’d like to thank the PSL for making this happen. We cannot wait to welcome football supporters home and hope that this weekend will live up to the experience they have been dreaming of for the last two years.”
