South African Football Association (SAFA) CEO Advocate Tebogo Motlanthe is attending the final classes of the FIFA Diploma in Football Law in Mexico.

The SAFA CEO immediately got down to business soon after arriving in Mexico’s largest city and capital, Mexico City,  and his classes started on Saturday 25 February 2023. The module is expected to be concluded on Thursday, 2 March 2023 while the graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, 3 March 2023.

“The Football Law Diploma was a great experience and it put more emphasis on the Regulatory Framework of the game, and with the experience acquired one can only hope to better our Legal framework back home,” Advocate Motlanthe said.

The journey began in Zürich, Switzerland, and after stops in Miami (USA), in Paraguay and Egypt among others, the SAFA CEO is looking forward to the home straight in Mexico City this week.

Advocate Motlanthe said he has attended FIFA Diploma in Football Law classes with the same group of people in several cities around the world and his classmates include Thomas Thema from North West University and Mahomed Sidat from the Confederation of African Football Licensing. The two long-time classmates are also in Mexico City.
