Throngs of fans came in droves to witness pulsating and entertaining football tournament that took place at Kwamahlobo grounds in Meadowlands, Soweto on Youth Day.
The long day began with with Covid-19 outfit locking horns with Free Agent. A physically game between these balanced sides and the better team on the day Covid-19 managed to score three goals and won 3-1.
The second match was between Ramokoka United and Ramatlaotle United. A tough game where both teams showed intent to win but missed an avalanche of scoring chances. Eventually the game ended 2-2.
The last game featured tournament favourites Orlando based Black Poison and SwidiWodwa an outfit from Orange Farm South Of Johannesburg.
The latter stole three points from Black Poison after a tight match where both teams gave their all energies.
Poison lost 2-1.
Winning coaches were on cloud nine on the sidelines and this is what they told this reporter.
Thabang Hailela, Covid-19 Coach said, “We showed Better stability . We managed to overload our middle of the park with debth hence we emerged victorius.”
Mlungisi Gumede, SwidiWodwa Coach, said, “We are going to approach all our games with with same egergy and same tempo.”
