If you are looking for a top class family entertainment in Jozi this easter, don’t look elsewhere. Johannesburg Expo Centre in Nasrec is the perfect place to be.
Popularly known as Rand show and dubbed as South Africa’s largest consumer show.
Organizers say, there is no other event in the country that allows you to see a myriad of shows, entertainment and events using only one ticket.
They describe it as a perfect place to “Escape the ordinary with a nonstop entertainment and family fun” The show kicks off Friday 3 to Sunday 12 April.
Craig Newman, CEO, of the Johannesburg Expo Centre, told the media and the dignitaries that even load shedding won’t be a disturbing factor as everything has been planned accordingly.

“Come and have a great family fun day. Its a value for your money only at this show.”
Newman also revealed that this was going to be the best show in the last eight years and conceded that, It’s a very difficult event to keep re-inventing.
At the launch it was also disclosed that a three year agreement was signed with the South African National Defence Force (SANDF). Who are expected to display a massive exhibition of impressive military equipment and vehicles from the army.
Brigadier Xolani Mabanga, spokesman for the army, said for them to be at the show it’s a great platform for the army to interact with the people of this country. “We are taking back the army to the people through the Rand Show. This is an opportunity for us to tell people about our roles, opportunities and resources available in the force and the things we do in the army on a daily basis.”

This year’s show is the 121st edition.
Tickets cost just R100 for adults (through Computicket) or R120 at the gate, and R50 for pensioners over 65.
Tickets for teens aged 13–16 cost R50, and kids aged 6–12 pay just R20, while littlies under six enter for free.
Mid-week adults paying just R50 at the gate and R60 through Computicket, from 7–10 April. (Parking is R20 per car.)
