This strong partnership between CGA and the City helps foster athletic talent and creates opportunities for our young athletes in Johannesburg.”

The City of Johannesburg remains dedicated to fostering a thriving athletics community.

By investing in youth development programs, annual championships, and high-performance athlete support initiatives, the city aims to produce future generations of world-class athletes.

The 2024 CGA Awards serve as a testament to the City of Johannesburg’s commitment to sports development and its role in shaping the future of South Africa.

The Executive Director for Community Development in the City of Johannesburg, Siyanda Mnukwa, said: “We are behind CGA and Athletics South Africa, more especially women athletes.
