BUDGET INSURANCE WRAPS UP THEIR R1 M BIZBUCKS BONANZA COMPETITION

Pretoria business owner Wins R250K in Budget BizBucks Bonanza

Linda Peter from Pretoria, who is the founder of Triple Y Health and Wellness Services is the fourth and final winner of Budget Business Insurance’s BizBucks Bonanza – a national competition celebrating small business resilience. Linda walks away with R250,000 in funding to grow her health and wellness medical services business, which launched in 2021.

After losing her job during the COVID-19 pandemic, she didn’t give up. Instead, she turned part of her home into a consulting room and started her private practice. Her goal was clear: to bridge the gap between public and private healthcare — providing affordable, dignified, and high-quality medical services to her community.

The BizBucks Bonanza competition is Budget Business Insurance’s tribute to the country’s unsung entrepreneurial heroes. With R1 million as the total cash prize available, the campaign called on small business owners across South Africa to share their stories of grit, growth, and survival. The competition closed on the Friday, 20th June 2025. Triple Y Health and Wellness Services is the last of 4 businesses that won their share of the million rand to grow their business. Earlier winners of the competition include Lesiba Shadung, from Polokwane, Daniel Putsoane from Bloemfontein and Ndivhuwo Tshiololi, from Midrand.

Wrapping up the campaign, Budget Insurance Business division senior manager Thabile Mokaba, said:

“Through BizBucks Bonanza, we wanted to shine a spotlight on the perseverance and passion of South Africa’s small business owners. In the face of tough economic conditions, entrepreneurs like Linda show us what resilience truly looks like. As a brand, we remain committed to backing the hustle – offering both support and recognition to small businesses as they continue to build their dreams, create jobs, and uplift their communities.”
