MIDRAND BUSINESS OWNER BUILDS BIG WITH BUDGET INSURANCE’S BIZBUCKS

Midrand: Losing your job in this very tough economy can be a setback but that did not stop Ndivhuwo Tshiololi, the founder of The Hot Pot Kitchen who was the 3rd of the 4 winners in Budget Insurance’s BizBucks Bonanza Competition that ran in June 2025 – awarding a share of R1 Million to four small business owners.

Based in Midrand Halfway House, The Hot Pot Kitchen food business, operating in a food street container since 2022, when Ndivhuwo and his wife both lost their jobs, offers meals that are said to be unique from its competitors. The R250 000 prize from Budget Insurance has been a game changer for their business, affording them the opportunity to expand their operations, benefitting their staff and taking their business to the next level.

“This win and support from Budget Insurance has meant everything to my wife and I. It has come at a much-needed time, and I am grateful that Budget Insurance could help myself and other small businesses in these tough economic times as we help others by creating jobs,” said Ndivhuwo Tshiololi.

Through the BizBucks Bonanza competition, Budget Insurance aimed to boost and empower South African small businesses who have resiliently been building their businesses and those that have the potential to positively impact their communities for many years to come.
