PSL CONFIRMS APPOINTMENT OF NEW INDEPENDENT LEAGUE PROSECUTOR

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed that Mr Zola Majavu’s term of office as Independent League Prosecutor concludes on the last day of January 2026.

The PSL Chairman, ACEO and members of the Executive Committee have expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr Majavu for the competence and integrity he demonstrated in the execution of his duties during his tenure.

Mr Majavu will, however, continue to serve in his capacity as a member of the First Instance Body responsible for adjudicating club licensing applications each season.

At its meeting held on Thursday, 29 January 2026, the PSL Executive Committee confirmed the appointment of Mr Pumzo Mbana, an advocate of the Johannesburg Bar, as the new Independent League Prosecutor.

Mr Mbana brings with him extensive experience in sports law and has previously served with distinction on the League’s Judicial Tribunals.
