CAF President, Ahmad, on Wednesday, 26 April 2017, chaired the meeting of the Organising Committee for Interclub competitions between 10H00 and 12H00 at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. Eight items were on the agenda.

The Committee mainly deliberated on the reports of the previous round of matches of the Total CAF Champions League 2017 and the Total CAF Confederation Cup 2017. All the reports were confirmed.

However, the Committee imposed fines on some clubs and Member Associations, mainly for poor organization of matches, with amounts between 1000 and 5000 US dollars.

This was the first time a committee meeting was chaired by the CAF President since his election on 16 March 2017 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

He announced the renewal of the Standing Committees in May with a reduced membership and an absolute priority given to the proposals from the presidents of Member Associations.
