TUKSNETBALL STARTS THE YEAR ON A HIGH

It’s been an absolutely super start to 2026 for TuksNetball as they embraced the TuksSport theme of “Elevate”. And true to the Stripe Generation, TuksNetball have elevated into the New Year, having had numerous players representing the SPAR Proteas in international matches, this off the backbone of the U/21 Junior World Cup, which saw 8 UP student-athletes being represented in the team.

However, this elevation proved one thing, that TuksNetball is on The Move as they kicked off their year, travelling to KZN for a Roadshow where they not only shared knowledge and skills with young players, the stars of the future, but also welcomed the first years to the performance culture that drives TuksSport.

But it’s not always just about self-performance, but about giving back. About creating relationships and building the future of Netball in South Africa. And, this was well displayed as TuksNetball held their first Netball Camp for 2026 at Camp Discovery. Under the leadership of TuksNetball Head Coach, Amanda Mynhardt, supported by renowned players such as Kyla Dames, Caroline Paul, Luca Keun, Phopi Nematangari, with Coach to Coach sessions spearheaded by National Coach and Tuks Alumni, Jenny van Dyk, the weekend proved to be instrumental in shaping the Netball Season for participating Schools.

And as we shape the season, TuksNetball are shaping the winning culture which we are all accustomed to. A culture of winning on and off the court. Looking forward to this year, TuksNetball are looking forward to having all their players on court, as many of them had missed opportunities to represent the Stripe Generation in 2025 owing to National call-ups and representation.
