ENGEN BRINGS RESILIENCE AND INNOVATION TO NAMPO 2026- MEET THE BOKKE AND STAND A CHANCE TO WIN FUEL FOR A YEAR

Engen, South Africa’s leading fuel and solutions partner, is proud to once again partner with Grain SA to sponsor NAMPO Harvest Day, taking place from 12–15 May 2026 at NAMPO Park, Bothaville. With a strong 40-year legacy supporting Grain SA, Engen continues to demonstrate its deep-rooted commitment to the agricultural community and the broader value chain that sustains food production and distribution across the country.

This year’s NAMPO theme, “Resilience through Innovation”, reflects the increasing pressures facing agriculture, from climate variability and rising input costs, as well as market and policy uncertainty. At a time when April and May mark some of the highest recorded fuel and diesel prices in South Africa’s history, the need for resilient, efficient and future-fit agricultural systems has never been more urgent.

“Engen is proud to stand alongside the agricultural community, delivering high-performance petroleum products and cutting-edge lubricant technologies that meet the demanding needs of South African farming. In 2026, fuel security is about more than keeping operations running, it is about ensuring that food gets from farm to table, and ultimately to the people who need it most. This is why partnerships that strengthen logistics and supply chains are so critical,” says Sharveen Maharaj, General Manager: Commercial at Engen.

SA Harvest Partnership – Powering Food Security Through Logistics
Engen’s partnership with SA Harvest will be brought to life at NAMPO through an immersive stand experience, with a live food activation led by SA Harvest’s chef.

The Engen and SA Harvest partnership is focused on powering food rescue operations across South Africa through critical fuel and logistics support. Engen provides the fuel that enables SA Harvest’s refrigerated transport fleet to collect, move, and deliver rescued food from farmers, retailers and suppliers to communities in need.

This interactive station will feature beautifully presented canapé-style tasters and small bites made entirely from rescued or redirected ingredients.

Explains Maharaj: “We often think hunger is a shortage of food. But in South Africa, hunger is a shortage of movement. Every day, food goes to waste while families go to bed hungry. Not because the food isn’t there, but because it doesn’t always reach the people who need it most. Partnering with SA Harvest allows us to play our part not through charity, but through infrastructure, fuel that becomes kilometres, kilometres that become meals, and meals that restore dignity. Because when wheels turn, food moves. And when food moves, hope moves with it.”
