BETWAY PREMIESHIP UPDATE: All eyes will be at Orlando Amstel Arena this afternoon when Orlando Pirates will be locking horns with Nedbank Champs, Durban City FC.
This is Buccaneers penultimate match that could see them be crowned as Betway Premiership champs.
But this will only be a reality if they beat the Citizens who are seventh placed on the log standings. The Buccaneers are second placed on the PSL standings with 65 points out of 28 matches. They are trailing Mamelodi Sundowns who have accumulated 68 points after completing their 2025/26 campaign with a dramatic 3-2 loss to Nedbank Champions and their nemesis team TS Galaxy midweek.
As things stands Pirates have a superior goal difference over Downs that could see them being crowned Betway Premiership Champions if they collect maximum points in today’s clash.
On the other hand the Citizens are 7th placed on the log standings with 38 points. A win for them could see them officially cement their top eight spot for the next season.
