JETOUR IS SHOWING OFF!

Njabulo Ngcobo

EVEN skeptics have changed their position on Chinese brands, thanks to Jetour’s Dashing and family-focused X70Plus models.

Jetour first touched down in 2024 in South Africa and you cannot drive too long without spotting it, showing it was well received in Mzansi market.

What makes them stand-out is its distinctive styling, premium technology and impressive safety features.

Nearly two years following the successful introduction of the rugged T-Series range, Jetour is not resting, they have now launched the new facelifted Dashing and X70 Plus and both models have received refreshed exterior styling, upgraded comfort features, advanced technology and even more comprehensive safety enhancements.

First to notice in these freshly unveiled SUVs is a selection of customers, dealers and media who attended the Jetour KZN Festival at the beautiful Manor House in Salt Rock early this month of July.

An immersive ride-and-drive and hands-on product demonstrations which was followed by the official vehicle reveal and a festival celebrating the growing Jetour community and lifestyle.

The newly designed Dashing suits different lifestyles, with a special appeal on urban drivers looking for bold design, premium finishes and contemporary styling. The seven-seater X70Plus, continues the trend to families with the ideal combination of space, practicality, advanced technology and comfort for everyday adventures.

Previous models featured a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine paired with a 6-speed DCT transmission, producing 115 kW and 230 Nm of torque. Both newer models are now equipped with a responsive 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that delivers 125kW and 270Nm of torque. The result is stronger performance, improved efficiency and a more refined driving experience.

The Dashing, with its sporty red exterior accents and refined interior finishes, also comes with an eight-speaker Sony audio system, privacy glass, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic glass sunroof and heated and ventilated seats on the Prime version.

The Dashing further offers impressive, advanced safety technologies, including Level 2 ADAS, Intelligent High and Low beams, a 540-degree panoramic view camera system, front parking sensors and a comprehensive airbag package to provide greater confidence on every journey.

Colour combination to choose from Onyx Black, Slate Grey, Forest Green, Ash Grey, Crimson Red and Glacier White.

According to Nic Xampbl, Jetour South Africa’s Vice President, these enhancements reflect their commitment to continually improving their vehicles.

“The refreshed Dashing and X70Plus offer even greater style, comfort and technology, ensuring they remain compelling choices for both urban motorists and adventure-seeking families,” he said.

The new X70Plus features a redesigned front grille with exterior accents in brushed aluminium, to create a more luxurious look and feel. The X70Plus comes with new 19-inch alloy wheels, heated and ventilated front seats (on the Prime version), dual-zone climate control and engine start/stop technologies. The X70 Plus also benefits from the same advanced safety enhancements as the new Dashing.
