14 November 2018 – Two expert members of the FIFA’s Member Association Division have concluded a successful visit to South Africa. They were here to review and provide guidance and advice on SAFA’s MYSAFA initiative.

MYSAFA is the platform used by SAFA structures to register players and to administer fixtures and leagues. To date, SAFA has registered over 170,000 players on MYSAFA. Each registered player receives a FIFA Connect ID number that can be used to facilitate international transfers.

SAFA has issued more Connect ID numbers than any other country in Africa.

While in South Africa the delegation met with the SAFA president, acting CEO, CFO, head of the Legacy Trust and the contractors developing and deploying MYSAFA.

The guidance and insight from the FIFA team ensure that SAFA continues to follow global trends.
