ADIDAS UNVEILS NEXT-GENERATION SUPERNOVA RISE 3 AND FRESH ADIZERO COLORWAYS

Today, adidas unveils a range of new footwear models and colorways across its comfort-driven Supernova range and speed-focused Adizero line-up. Joining the Supernova line up is the Supernova Rise 3 whilst the Adizero range debuts colorway updates of the Adizero Adios Pro 4 and Adizero Boston 13.

Created to provide even more comfort than its award-winning predecessor, the Supernova Rise 3 debuts a redesigned full-length Dreamstrike+ midsole which is 5% lighter and 20% softer*, designed to deliver enhanced comfort and support mile after mile. The midsole also features 16% more foam* to maximize cushioning for distraction-free running. The Supernova Rise 3 also features:

  • NEW PRIMEWEAVE UPPER: Engineered for a secure and adaptive fit
  • LIGHTTRAXION OUTSOLE: Anatomical rod-like sculpting for smoother transitions and durable grip
  • FEMALE-FOCUSED DESIGN: Available in men’s and women’s versions, rigorously tested with gender parity. The women’s version features an adjusted arch position to better match the last, which has been developed to better fit women’s biomechanical needs in their average foot shape. The women’s version also features a specific outsole, improved heel bevel, and an upgraded women’s specific sockliner.

The Supernova Rise 3 will launch in a Lucid Coral/Clear Orange colorway for both men and women on December 4th, 2025, available online at adidas.co.za via the adidas app, and in select retail stores.  Additional colorways will be releasing in early 2026.

Also launching are striking new colorways of the Adizero Adios Pro 4 and Adizero Boston 13, drawing inspiration from the iconic Adizero Adios shoe worn by Haile Gebrselassie during his world-record breaking performance at the 2008 Berlin Marathon.

Made for fast runners, the Adizero Adios Pro 4 features:

  • LIGHTSTRIKE PRO: A full-length layer of adidas’ best-in-class foam ensures cushioning for every quick stride
  • ENERGY RODS 2.0: Provide a seamless transition from heel to toe
  • NEW FOREFOOT ROCKER POINT GEOMETRY: Inspired by the revolutionary Adizero Adios Pro Evo 1, the forefoot rocker – the point at which the sole curves upward underneath the toes or forefoot – is placed at 60% of the length of the shoe. This is lab-tested to trigger forward momentum and improve running economy
  • LIGHTTRAXION OUTSOLE: After studying strike patterns of some of adidas’ leading athletes, to understand where grip was needed most, these insights were translated into a new patterned outsole that maps material to key areas
  • LIGHTLOCK UPPER: The shoe introduces a first-of-its-kind lightweight, one-way stretch woven mesh upper that is paired with internal locking bands for a snug and secure feeling when running at high speed. This is matched with a new lacing system, which provides a locked-down fit for runners

Designed to provide consistent speed for fast workouts and tempo runs, the Adizero Boston 13 is the perfect training accompaniment to those who race in the Adizero Adios Pro 4. It features:

  • INCREASED LIGHTSTRIKE PRO: 13.8% more Lightstrike Pro foam makes the midsole softer and more comfortable than its predecessor
  • LIGHTTRAXION OUTSOLE: New for Adizero Boston models – and first seen in the marathon racer Adizero Adios Pro 4 – the LIGHTTRAXION patterned outsole construction is designed to reduce weight without sacrificing grip, by strategically placing it where it is needed the most
  • ENERGY RODS 2.0: Re-engineered energy rods provide forefoot economy return and dynamic stability, now more prominently featured for a race look in a training shoe
  • ENGINEERED MESH: The revamped mesh upper delivers lightweight breathability and targeted support in a sleek silhouette

SS26 Adizero Boston 13 and Adios Pro 4 in solar yellow will cost R3 299 and R5 499 respectively, and will be widely available from December 10th in stores, on adidas.co.za and via the adidas flagship app.
