AFRICA’S BIGGEST VENT ENTERS SEMI-FINAL PHASE AFTER SENEGAL, EGYPT, NIGERIA AND HOSTS MOROCCO POWERED THEIR WAY INTO LAST FOUR PHASE OF TOTALENERGIES CAF AFCON

Africa’s single-biggest event, the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025, will enter its most exciting phase this week after four of Africa’s top Nations powered their way into the Semi-finals.

Both semi-finals will be played on Wednesday, 14 January as record seven-time African champions Egypt, 2013 champions Nigeria, 2021 winners Senegal and Hosts, Morocco have all confirmed their place.

Egypt sealed the final semi-final ticket on Saturday night after edging defending champions Côte d’Ivoire 3-2 in a pulsating contest, bringing the Elephants’ reign to an end.

They will now face Senegal in Tangier on Wednesday (kick-off 18h00 local time / 17h00 GMT / 19h00 Cairo), who were the first side to advance to the last four following a composed 1-0 victory over Mali on Friday.

Morocco continue their quest for a first continental title in 50 years after overcoming Cameroon 2-0 in Rabat, maintaining their impressive momentum on home soil.

Completing the semi-final line-up are Nigeria, who delivered a clinical performance to defeat Algeria 2-0 in Marrakech, and set up a blockbuster clash with the hosts that will be played in Rabat (kick-off 21h00 local time / 20h00 GMT / 22h00 Cairo)
