Following a long break break, Mamelodi Sundowns are returning to league action. Their first fixture of the year sees them hosting Orbit College FC on Monday night at Loftus Versfeld.
Heading to their first encounter of 2026, Masandawana will look to start on a high note and grab all points on offer. Speaking to Downs’ defender, Aubrey Modiba, he expressed his excitement for the return of competition.
“It’s good to be back in the league. We haven’t competed in the year. It’s going to be an interesting game against Orbit College, a side we haven’t met.”
Ahead of the mid-week encounter, Modiba previewed the game, stating the Brazilians are anticipating a difficult encounter against an Orbit College side they will be meeting for the first time.
“We have been watching them, and we know how they play. We have watched their games, and we know what to expect from them. They are going to give us a tough time, but we already know there’s no easy game in the Premier Soccer League. At Mamelodi Sundowns, every game is important, and the three points are crucial for us. We are going to make sure we do well for ourselves and our supporters,” the Bafana Bafana international stated.
Mamelodi Sundowns will do clash against Orbit College on Monday night at Loftus Versfeld. The kick-off has been scheduled for 19:30, live on SuperSport TV.
