Basetsana Squad

24 January 2018 – The South African Women’s U20 national team departs for Nigeria this afternoon for their second leg of the final round of FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria.

The two nations will meet on Saturday, 27 January in what promises to be a tough but exciting encounter for both nations.

The hosts carry a 2-0 cushion but the youthful Basetsana under the stewardship of former Banyana Banyana players, Maud Khumalo and Simphiwe Dludlu have been hard at work with the aim of reversing the scoreline and booking their place in this year’s world showpiece.
