BOOST FOR ALEXANDRA FOOTBALL TEAM, THANKS TO  KAIZER CHIEFS AND TOYOTA

Alex based and fast growing Football team Alexandra Royal Tigers that campaigns in the local Football Association is the latest recipient of “Hearts on the sleeves initiative”.

This initiative is driven by Mzansi’s Giant number one leading car manufacture, Toyota and the biggest club in Southern Africa, Kaizer Chiefs FC.

 Its aim is to connect with communities, making a difference and uplifting and making their lives better.

Spirited , jovial and bright and breezy Alexandra Royal Tigers football club players received a once in a  lifetime opportunity  to spend a day with Kaizer Chiefs FC players,  technical team and management for coaching clinics and mentoring at the club’s Naturena base.

They came in droves and were given a hero’s welcome and a guard of honour by management, technical team and players much to the delight of their coaches and mentors who couldn’t believe their eyes.

Furthermore they were showered with soccer kits and balls.

Kaizer Motaung Junior, Chiefs Sporting Director told the packed visiting team they are special on this special day.

“Tomorrow belongs to you guys. Feel free and enjoy, keep dreaming sometimes circumstances are not easy but everything can change.”

On the sidelines Motaung told this reporter, they are building hopes and dreams on these young kids.

Chiefs Goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, said, “Don’t take this opportunity for granted. You will never know who is watching. ”

Chiefs attacking midfielder Keagan Dolly, gave a word of advice to the excited young footballers. “We all started were you are now.”

Lelo Ndzimela, Senior Manager Corporate Communication at Toyota told this publication at Toyota they are trying to uplift kids who have a passion to play football.

“At Toyota it’s awe-inspiring to be part of great things and to play a part in their journey to greatness. This specific day could change their lives for better,” she pointed.

Thembinkosi Tiger Matholengwe, Tigers Chairman revealed his club has six divisions and was formed in 2012.

“We will cherish this gesture and opportunity bestowed upon us by Amakhosi and Toyota.”

Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director is on record arguing  

“The Heart on Sleeve initiative that we do with Toyota South Africa (TSAM) is very important, because it’s about us connecting with our communities. We feel it’s our responsibility to come in as a Club and make a difference, and also support the leaders and the people who are contributing towards uplifting our communities and making their lives better.”

Jessica added  “We are also thankful to Toyota South Africa for partnering with us in this initiative as we saw how inspired the boys were after meeting and training with their heroes. We wish Alex Royal Tigers well and hope to see some of their players showcasing their talent professionally in the near future.”
