CAPE TOWN CITY UNVEIL NIGERIA PLAYMAKER AJAGUN

Cape Town City have completed the signing of Nigerian attacking midfielder Abdul Ajagun, the club confirmed on Friday.

The 27-year-old was a free agent after leaving Belgian side Kortrijk in October and will add to the already impressive array of attacking player with The Citizens.

Ajagun has also spent time at top Greek side Panathinaikos, Dutch club Roda JC and in Cyprus with Omonia Nicosia, so brings plenty of experience from Europe.

He is also a Nigeria junior international, playing at the 2013 FIFA Under-20 World Cup, including two goals in a 3-2 loss to Portugal, but has yet to play for the senior side, and was a youth product of local club Dolphins FC.

He has scored 29 goals in 220 appearances in Europe, and played in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League for Panathinaikos.

City released Ghana forward Prince Opoku Agyemang in order to free up a foreigner spot in their squad for Ajagun.© Mzansi Football.
