CARLING KNOCKOUT FINAL MATCH DAY GUIDE

Polokwane gears up for a massive fixture this Saturday with Orlando Pirates and Marumo Gallants set to battle it out in the Carling Knockout final at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The Soweto Giants are hosts in this high-stakes encounter which closes off what has been an eventful year of local football action. A massive crowd in and around the match venue is a guaranteed feature of the day’s proceedings, with all tickets already snapped up.

The magnitude of the fixture means several extra measures have been taken to ensure a safe, hassle-free match day experience.

Admission Info

With the match officially sold out, no tickets will be available at the stadium. Spectators without valid tickets are urged not to travel to the venue as no ticket sales will be made under any circumstances.

The sale and purchase of counterfeit tickets is against the law and all spectators will be subject to strict security searches at entry points.

Gates at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium open at 14h00, with the match scheduled to kick-off at 18h00.

Parking

Free parking is available within the stadium precinct, and everyone is urged to arrive early to secure parking and avoid congestion.

The public is strongly advised to take note of signage indicating safe parking areas and to avoid following illegal car guards directing vehicles to unauthorised or unsafe locations. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed by traffic authorities.

After parking, fans are urged to immediately make their way to the stadium to avoid bottlenecks at the gate as this could lead to delays and compromise safety.

Road Closures

As is often the case on big match days,  there will be road closures affecting routes leading to the stadium. The South African Police Service and Traffic Police will manage roadblocks and traffic control points, supported by private security.

Only authorised vehicles will be permitted through restricted access points. Motorists are urged to avoid parking in non-designated areas.
