Following the conclusion of the last FIFA International break of the year, Kaizer Chiefs will resume their DStv Premiership programme this coming Sunday when they take a short trip to Dobsonville in Soweto where they will be visiting Moroka Swallows for their first meeting of the current season.
Amakhosi who have had four players called up to various national teams will assess the players when they come back to South Africa in the next two days as they prepare for their next Soweto Derby against the Dube Birds, which follows the big Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates just over a week ago.
Chiefs will really want to win this Derby against Swallows after losing the previous one against the Sea Robbers. Three points from the upcoming match will also help Amakhosi climb up the PSL log.
Swallows have done fairly well so far and sit 5th on the log with 18 points after 10 matches. Chiefs are 10th with 14 points after 12 games.
Chiefs have four games left before the end of the year and coach Cavin Johnson will want to collect maximum points from the remaining games before the Africa Cup of Nations hiatus in January and February.
With the previous Soweto Derby sold out at FNB Stadium, supporters are expected to fill up the Dobsonville Stadium when the two giants of Soweto with rich history meet on Sunday.
Tickets for this historical Soweto Derby match between the Birds and the Amakhosi are sold through www.ticketpros.co.za and various TicketPro outlets around the country, including Spar and Boxer supermarkets, Sasol and Shell filling stations, as well as Postnet outlets. Tickets for adults are R60 and R20 for children.
The DStv Premiership match kicks off at 15:30 on Sunday at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto.
