The new Customer Portal is designed to provide seamless access to a wide range of services and information, including:

  • Historical Data Reports: View up to 36 months of historical meter data.
  • Customer Queries: Track logged customer queries.
  • Meter Alarms: Receive notifications and reports on meter alarms.
  • Feeding Source Information: Access detailed reports on sources feeding customer meters.
  • Outage Information: Get up-to-date information on power outages linked to your account.
  • AMI Data and Interfaces: Access Advanced Metering Infrastructure data and insights into consumption patterns.
  • Bill Simulation: Simulate and understand billing details for Large Power Users.

Service Solutions

The portal also features new service solutions, such as:

  • New Service Connection (NSC) Case Management: Track the status of new service connection applications.
  • HR Auto Shortlisting: Apply online for vacancies with an automated system for preliminary shortlisting.

Steps for Accessing the Customer Portal

  1. Open Your Web Browser: Launch your preferred web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari).
  2. Visit the City Power Website: Enter www.citypower.co.za in the address bar and press Enter.
  3. Navigate to the Customer Portal: Click on “Customer Portal” in the menu ribbon.
  4. Register Property Details: Follow on-screen instructions to register your property details.
  5. Complete Registration: Enter personal information to complete registration.

Introducing Joulene

The chatbot, Joulene, is available 24/7 on our website, providing a convenient way to access information on power interruptions and general queries. This initiative is part of our comprehensive effort to enhance communication with customers.

How to Use Joulene

  2. Locate the Joulene Icon: Find the chatbot icon at the bottom right corner of every page.
  3. Activate the Chatbot: Click the icon to open a chat window.
  4. Start Chatting: Type your query and Joulene will assist you.

  • Walk-in Centres: Assistance at our eight Service Delivery Centres.
