Chippa United boss Dan Malesela has admitted that Jomo Cosmos were a tough opponent in the Nedbank Cup on Saturday.The Chilli Boys dumped Ezenkosi out of the competition with a narrow 1-0 win at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium to advance to the semifinals.

“We thought the Cosmos players would get tired,” he said on SuperSport after the game.

“We thought we would stretch them a little bit more in the first half so we can use their tiring players to find gaps,” he said.

But, the National First Division club remained resolute, making their Premiership rivals work hard for their win.

“A very good game from them, also a bit of a scare right at the end with them having chances, but good luck to Bra J (Sono) and the boys for the league,” added Malesela.
