The Best Airline by Public Vote award means a lot to us because it reflects the trust and satisfaction of South African travellers who choose FlySafair for their journeys.

“Winning Best Airline by Public Vote shows that our customers trust us and enjoy flying with us,” says Kirby Gordon, Chief Marketing Officer at FlySafair. “Behind the scenes, our team works hard to keep flights safe, affordable, and on time. These awards show we’re delivering across the board, from operations and innovation to people development and customer service.”
A Consistent Record of Recognition
FlySafair’s success at the 2025 awards builds on a strong track record since the inaugural SACAA Civil Aviation Industry Awards in 2018. The airline has won awards every time the event has been held, demonstrating consistent excellence across operational, safety, customer service, innovation, people development, and transformation disciplines.
In 2023, FlySafair secured five first-place wins, including Air Operator/Airline of the Year, Aviation Company of the Year, and Best Airline by Public Vote, along with eight additional placements across various categories.
“These awards recognise that we’re building a sustainable, world-class airline that South Africans can be proud of, and we couldn’t do it without our incredible team and loyal customers,” Gordon adds.
