Its official!!! Tickets for the second leg MTN8 humdinger match between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are sold out. This much awaited thrilling second leg match is billed for multipurpose Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville west of Pretoria.

All eyes will be on today’s high octane  match  that must produce one team that will face off the winner between Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC who are expected to play  in another semi-final tomorrow at Orlando Stadium.

R8 Million prize money is at stake and a brand new MTN trophy that was recently unveiled by the sponsors after more than a decade of the previous silverware.

BACK TO THE STORY!!! According to SAPS and Tshwane Metro Police Department “Its all systems go all roads  and traffic points will be manned to ensure free flow of traffic.”

At a recent MTN8 media briefing held at the PSL offices Sundowns coach Rulani Mokoena  told a horde of journalists his team believes in winning each and every match.

“At Sundowns we believe in winning each and every match irrespective of goal advantage or disadvantage. We know we are playing a very good and improved Chiefs. We are in a space where we are getting better and improving everyday.”

Meanwhile, beleaguered Kaizer Chiefs coach, Molefi Ntseki is feeling the heat after he was recently escorted from the pitch by Police when his side lost 1-0 to Supersport midweek.

At the same briefing, Ntseki bravely revealed that he is aware they are playing a match that will take the club  to the final if they win.

“We are looking forward to win and play in the final. This is going to be a humdinger match. We are quite aware what is expected of us. Our objective is to give a good performance.”  

Nomsa Chabeli, MTN General Manager Branding and Marketing told the packed media arrangement for this weekend matches was very critical.

“We want fans to have a memorable experience. For us all the teams are very important. There is going to be 90 minutes on the pitch for both games. We are eagerly waiting to see which team will etch its name on this new trophy.”

Chabeli also reminded the teams about the R20 000 prize money that goes to charity for each and every goal scored.

  • Meanwhile, tickets for Sunday’s semifinal between Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC at Orlando Stadium are selling at a rapid rate and spectators are urged to secure their tickets at Ticketpro Outlets promptly to avoid disappointment.
