Deadline for metro police applications

Prospective Metro Police officers have until today to submit their CV’’s .

This was also confirmed by the Johannesburg Executive Mayor, Herman Mashaba during his state of the city address in Braamfonteing.

Mashaba told the packed chamber that his administration was recruiting 1500 new officers.

“In our adjustment budget, we allocated R31 million to JMPD for the recruitment and training of an additional 1500 JMPD Officers. The recruitment process is currently underway and prospective candidates have until today to submit their applications.”

He  encourage men and women of the highest integrity, and with the passion to serve their communities, to come forward and apply.

“I believe this to be a major breakthrough in the City’s efforts to combat crime, enforce bylaws and manage traffic congestion,” Mashaba said.
