JOBURG LADIES OPEN’S NYAMBI REPRESENTS SA AT 153RD OPEN AT ROYAL PORTRUSH

In a proud moment for South African golf, Tshepo Nyambi, the Tournament Director of the Joburg Ladies Open, took centre stage as a referee at the 153rd edition of The Open Championship at the historic Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland.

Stationed at hole 46 during the tournament’s final rounds, Nyambi focused amidst the buzz of one of the world’s most iconic golf events. His presence was more than just a personal achievement, it marked a milestone for South Africa’s growing influence in global golf officiating.

Reflecting on his experience, Nyambi shared: “Being part of The Open at Royal Portrush was a dream come true. I was excited, humbled, and challenged. I’ve learned so much about the game, the discipline, and the excellence required at this level. It’s an experience that will shape how I contribute to growing golf back home.”
