 In a spectacular season finale, Thandikhaya Magayiyana, better known as Joliza Bhacasoul, was announced as the winner of uShuni Womhlaba Season 1, claiming the grand prize and earning his place in South Africa’s musical spotlight.

Broadcasting LIVE on SABC 1, the season finale of uShuni Womhlaba was a jaw-dropping, star-studded spectacle that kept viewers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The show was filled with electrifying performances, captivating stage visuals, and melodies that caused goosebumps.

The atmosphere erupted with emotion and celebration, when the Joliza Bhacasoul was finally announced, bringing a climatic end to a fierce competition.

Second place was awarded to Lindo Jay Music (Lindokuhle Mthimunye), who impressed audiences with his blend of Maskandi and Afro-pop, while third place went to Gudaazi (Mthobisi Gudazi), whose energetic and innovative performances brought a unique flair to the competition. Both runners-up delivered remarkable performances throughout the season, cementing their status as top contenders.

uShuni Womhlaba Season 1 has set a high standard for future competitions, with Joliza Bhacasoul’s victory showcasing the depth of talent and cultural pride in South Africa’s music scene.

Joliza Bhacasoul walks away with a cash prize of R500 000 and gains access to career-changing opportunities, including a lucrative recording deal from Gallo Music and management support that will help him launch his music career on a national stage.

The runner up (Lindo Jay Music) receives R300 000 and the musician in third place (Gudaazi) takes home R200 000.
