Mamelodi Sundowns are on the road to Polokwane for their midweek fixture. They are set to visit Seshego Stadium to do battle with Magesi FC on Wednesday for their third league encounter of the season.
Bafana Ba Style comes from the back of a highly intense and physical 1-1 draw in the MTN8 over the weekend. They also haven’t recorded a victory on the road. So, heading to this fixture, they will be looking to head home with all points on offer.
On the other hand, Magesi occupy the 10th position on the Betway Premiership standings after playing to two draws in their first two matches of the season.
Masandawana’s dominance against Dikwena tša Meetse has remained consistent in the league, having won both fixtures in the previous campaign. The meetings between the two sides – despite Magesi being a side with minimal top-flight experience – have been both physically demanding and entertaining. Speaking to Arthur Sales ahead of the encounter, the Brazilian-born forward said he anticipates a difficult game but is looking forward to scoring more goals and walking away with a victory.
“It’s so difficult to predict the game, especially one against an opponent like Magesi, but our objective will always be to score as many goals as possible and win the game. We are tired after the game over the weekend, the travelling is also exhausting, but we will ensure that we get a positive result away from home.”
Sales concluded by encouraging the supporters to come out in numbers at the Seshego Stadium to support the team. He said, “I would like to encourage the Yellow Nation to come out in numbers to support us. We are looking forward to seeing you and making you proud.”
Mamelodi Sundowns will go head-to-head with Magesi FC on Wednesday night at the Seshego Stadium. Kick-off has been scheduled for 19H30, live on SuperSport TV.
