Mangaung United

30 January 2019 – With the Free State ABC Motsepe League entering its second stanza, Mangaung Unite are proving to be strong title contenders to be crowned champions and secure a place in the Play Offs.

Unite registered their 15th win of the season against a very stubborn Central University of FS with a hard fought 2-1 away win to maintain their impressive nine-point gap over Bloemfontein Young Tigers.

Tigers are determined to fight until they are mathematically ruled out of the title chase. Their 1-0 win over Small Tigerswas their 11th victory of the season. They have drawn five matches this season which has seen them play second fiddle to the log leaders.

Mphatlalatsane United FC remain in danger of relegation following their 3-1 loss to Bloemfontein Celtic. This was made worse by the fact that Days FC registered a win this past weekend against Lijabatho FC which sees them equal on 15 points with Mphatlalatsane United.

Days were beaten 2-0 by Mphatlalatsane United last week and were desperate for a good result.

Kovsies will also be hoping to do well in this weekend’s match against the wounded Central University of Free State. This after their disappointing 1-0 loss to Dikwena United.
