Mamelodi Sundowns return to Betway Premiership action on Wednesday evening when they host TS Galaxy at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
After a run of fixtures, the team is determined to carry forward the momentum from recent matches. Masandawana remain unbeaten in their last three outings, including a draw against Orlando Pirates over the weekend. Bafana Ba Style will now look to build on that performance in front of the home crowd and get three points to extend their lead at the top of the table.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, defender Keanu Cupido shared the team’s insight heading into the midweek clash:
“We know at Sundowns you need to forget about the previous game. We had to let go of the Pirates game, where we let ourselves down as players, but now we’re preparing for TS Galaxy. They won their last game, so they’ll come into this one confident. We’re just focused on us and the job ahead.”
“We know TS Galaxy is a team that wants to play on the break and their wingers are very good, young and quick as well, so we know they rely on them and we know that if we stop them, the game will be much easier for us”
Keanu concluded by speaking on the Yellow Nation, emphasizing that “Masandawana came out this past weekend, and we felt their support. I just want to say thank you for being there with us throughout the game.”
Mamelodi Sundowns will host TS Galaxy on Wednesday evening at Loftus Versfeld. Kick-off is scheduled for 19H30, live on Supersport TV.
