In a matter of few days, All eyes will be on the Gauteng Provincial Legislature where The MEC of Finance and Economic Development, Lebogang Maile, is expected to present Gauteng’s 2025 Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) and the Adjustment Budget to the Legislature on Tuesday, 02 December 2025.
This Gauteng MTBPS will be the second of the 7th administration following the 2024 general elections.
According to a terse statement issued by the department The MTBPS provides insight into the priorities that will be funded in the next fiscal year and indeed the Medium-Term Expenditure period to strengthen economic growth, attract investments, create jobs, and improve the quality of life for Gauteng residents.
“The Adjustment Budget will be presented to
cater for significant unforeseeable economic and financial events affecting annual fiscal targets.”

This will be Maile’s second Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) and the Adjustment Budget since his appointment as the Gauteng Finance and Economic Development head honcho.
