Born in the town of Warmbaths (now Bela Bela) in Limpopo and raised in Johannesburg and Midrand, Mizz Dee was immersed in music from an early age. Influenced by gospel, R&B, pop, and South African greats, she developed a soulful voice rooted in emotion and storytelling.
She began her professional career in 2012 with Better Days under Soul Candi Records and has since become a respected voice in the South African house and soul music space. Known for emotionally resonant songwriting, she has collaborated with artists such as Afrikan Roots, Gino Brown, J-Saxx, Andy Compton, and UK-based group The Rurals.
