Mouth-watering Absa Premiership WozaNazo clash set for Loftus

R100 000 up for grabs during WozaNazo Shootout at Halftime

Tuesday, 22 October: A MamelodiSundowns versus Kaizer Chiefs clash is often a mouth-watering affair and their upcoming Absa Premiership WozaNazo fixture is expected to be no different today. The match is set to take place at the Loftus stadium  kick off  3:30pm.

The hosts, Masandawana remain unbeaten after nearly three months of league action this season, a record they will look to keep when Amakhosi make the short trip to Tshwane.

On the other hand, their rivals have picked themselves up from last season’s disappointing season and currently lead the log standings. They will go into the game with the aim of remaining top as the first quarter of the season draws near.

The clash between the two free-scoring teams on either side of the Jukskei River, will be the 5th of 12 Woza Nazo fixtures activated by Absa across the country this season, ensuring Absa Premiership fever reaches everyone.

Ahead of the game, Absa has once again showcased the unique WozaNazo Wheel at an Absa Premiership roadshow that took place at the Mamelodi Mall on Friday. Current Absa customers were given an opportunity to spin and win great prizes at the venue.

Fans who attended  the roadshow and signed up to open an Absa account on the day will have an opportunity to win WozaNazo Absa Red Tickets to access the match.

On match day, Absa will continue with the new and exciting WozaNazo Shootout that will see the fifth football fan this season winning an instant cash prize of R 100 000. At halftime five Absa customers will be brought to the pitch to kick against a legendary Absa Premiership goalkeeper, in a sudden death competition until there is only one winner.

Senzo Maphumulo, the Durban winner of the WozaNazo Shootout last month, said: “I’m extremely excited to have won this amazing prize. I wasn’t expecting to participate in the competition but when I received the call from Absa representatives at the start of the match in Umlazi, I went all out and did my best to take a brilliant penalty kick. The prize will go a long way in improving my life and that of my family.”

Still part of the match day experience, Absa, will also be providing 1 200 fans who receive the WozaNazo Absa Red Tickets with a WozaNazo hamper on match day. The hamper will consist of WozaNazo merchandise that includes a t-shirt, a cap, snacks and refreshments to enjoy during the match.

The WozaNazo hamper collection station will be located at Gate 1 on match day at the Loftus Stadium from 11:30am and will close at 2pm. Fans with Absa Red Zone Tickets are encouraged to arrive at the stadium early.
