MTN8 FREE STADIUM TICKETS UP FOR GRABS!!!

Well oiled Orlando Pirates Coach  Jose Riveiro’s  troops will have to prove their  moniker name “Cup Specialists” is not  a fluke when they come against stubborn and resolute Cape Town City in a second leg MTN8 semi-final encounter billed to take place at Orlando Stadium.

Just few days ago the two sides played to a 1all draw in Cape Town. The result gives Buccaneers a upper hand due to an away goal rule.

“It’s going to be the Buccaneers all the way to their third consecutive MTN8 final.  But this will be a mission possible only if they score and don’t concede any goal in their home turf  against the Citizens.” That’s a prognosis prediction by Football pundits who also predicted Pirates might pull off a surprise and deliver a big margin win especially in-front of their voiceferous and very supportive  supporters who are expected to come in droves.

During a media engagement, Bucs Captain Innocent Maela  told members of the fourth estate they were looking forward to this mouth-watering  game even though “It’s a short turnaround for us because we didn’t   have a lot of time to prepare the team. As players we are looking forward to play in-front of our supporters.”

Coach Riveiro pointed they are trying hard to rest and analyse the game. “We are trying to get ready mentally.”

“Everybody is working hard hoping to defend as a collective and not focussing on individual. We have excellent material in every position. They are in a good level.

“We know that winning the game will take us to the final. We are going to try to play for a result. Our intention is to be in the final and we don’t want to do it in a goal less draw.

Riveiro didn’t hide his hopes and wishes.   “We hope there will be a decent crowd Tomorrow. The fact that we are playing home is an extra for us interms of  motivation. We want to see Orlando Stadium packed like when we played Supersport. Our plan is to control the game as good as we can. It’s our responsibility to give a good performance so that spectators will come watch us all the time we play.

Pressed about possible changes in the lineup? He said,  “Whatever new faces that will come in the line up doesn’t matter. We are looking for a eleven that can get us a result.

“We are not  preparing to protect the lead. We know that winning the game, will usher us into  the final. We try to play for a result. Our way to approach it is to win,” he said.

Bucs Mentor heaped praise to City, pointing  it’s  an excellent side.

His skipper Maela, also shared the sentiment arguing “We don’t go to the game thinking we are playing underdogs we respect our opponents and ourselves.
