NETBALL SOUTH AFRICA AND THE CITY OF JOHANNESBURG ARE READY TO HOST  TELKOM NETBALL LEAGUE

 Netball South Africa (NSA) and the City of Johannesburg (CoJ) are proud to announce that the eagerly anticipatedTelkom Netball League (TNL), is slated to kick-off at the Ellis Park Arena today.

While excitement mounted for this prestigious league, NSA and the City assured the public of their preparedness to facilitate a successful and memorable tournament.

The 10th edition of the TNL will witness 16 participating teams competing for victory and glory in their respective divisions. While anticipation built, and teams prepared for the tournament NSA ensured that all compliance and competition rules were adhered to.

 With this, NSA President Cecilia Molokwane emphasised the importance of upholding regulations for fair play and ensuring a level playing field for all teams. “We are excited that all teams met the specified criteria and are looking forward to a highly competitive exhilarating tournament.” Stated Molokwane.

Speaking on behalf of the city, Siyanda Mnukwa, Director of Sport and Recreation, he expressed excitement about Johannesburg’s role as the host city for theTNL.

“TheCity of Johannesburg is fully prepared and excited to host the Telkom Netball League.”

 “We have diligently worked to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place for a successful and enjoyable tournament, for players, officials andspectators alike.” said Mnukwa. Johannesburg eagerly awaits for the first centre pass of the tournament as the city prepares to showcase its passion for sport and hospitality.

The TNL is scheduled to run in three power-packed weeks fromApril 26 toMay5, May 31 to June 5, and June 13 to June 19.

In a bid to enhance the league’spopularity and competitiveness, Tshukudu from the North-West province joins as the latest team.

Meanwhile, the Gauteng Jaguars, reigning champions of 2023, aim to defend their title against fierce competition. All eyes will also be on Division B winners, the Limpopo Baobabs, who impressed last season.
