PIC: Orlando Pirates will appear in a sixth Nedbank Cup semifinal
The Nedbank Cup semifinals take centre-stage this weekend with Orlando Pirates making the trip to Chippa United on Saturday and Stellenbosch FC hosting Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday (both 15h00 kick-offs).
The four clubs are just one step away from a prestige final, which will be held at the Mbombela Stadium on June 1, scene of Pirates’ 3-1 Nedbank Cup decider triumph over Black Leopards in 2011.
For Sundowns it will be their ninth semifinal appearance since 2008, a magnificent record, while Pirates will be appearing in a sixth, Chippa their fourth and Stellenbosch just a second.
We have compiled a list of the previous occasions each club has appeared in the last-4 since 2008.
