11 July 2017 – The race for a place in the SAFA SAB League Play-Offs is a tense one as Dube Continental and Tembisa Sports Centre are neck on neck for a place in the Province’s SAFA ABC Motsepe League.

This is after the two sides started off the play-offs on a bright note, recording big wins on the opening day.

Dube, who are coming from the SAFA Johannesburg region started their push for promotion with a big 5-2 victory against Maholosiane FC.

Tembisa started off slowly with a 2-2 draw against the Metro Stars of SAFA Sedibeng Region, but were quick to bring their campaign back on track with a rousing 4-2 victory against Tshwane South College, who managed to hold Dube to a 2-2 draw.

Dube and Tembisa Sports Centre of the SAFA Ekurhuleni region cannot afford to relax though, as Metro Stars are just two points behind as a result of their two draws against Tembisa and Maholosiane, who represent the region of Westrand.

Tshwane South College and Maholosiane too are still in with a chance, but that will mean they must win their next matches that will be played this coming Sunday.

This weeks’ fixtures will once against be played at the Greenhills Stadium, Randfontein in the Westrand.

Dube will this week kick things off with an early 9am fixture against Tembisa Sports Centre, which could very well determine the play-offs winners as both sides are on four points with two games to play.

At the same time, Tshwane South College from the Safa Tshwane region will be entertaining Metro Stars.

Those two matches will be followed by a clash between Maholosiane and Tembisa at 12 noon.

A well rested Dube Continental will then face off against Metro Stars at 3pm, while Maholosiane and Tshwane South College will also be engaged in a 3pm battle.
