SOUTH AFRICA SHINES BRIGHT! THE #GLASSRECYCLING CHALLENGE HITS TARGET

The Glass Recycling Company (TGRC) is thrilled to announce that the #GlassRecyclingChallenge has been a resounding success! South Africans have exceeded expectations, recycling over 140 tons of glass bottles and jars in Gauteng glass banks throughout September. This sparkling achievement demonstrates the powerful impact of community involvement in recycling.

Cheers to Our Recycling Heroes!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated! By dropping off their glass at local banks and sharing their efforts online, South Africans have shown that recycling glass is as simple as it is essential. Your actions have turned the ordinary into extraordinary, proving that recycling is not just a clear choice but a brilliant one.

“We’re delighted with the response,” said Shabeer Jhetam, CEO of TGRC. “The sight of full glass banks reflects the bright commitment of our communities in Gauteng. This success confirms that when we work together, we can truly make a difference.”

Looking Ahead with a Brighter Vision

The #GlassRecyclingChallenge is just the beginning. TGRC is excited to continue this momentum and strengthen South Africa’s glass recycling culture. The enthusiasm shown has set the stage for an even greener future.

“Together, we’ve turned recycling into a shining example of what we can achieve,” added Jhetam. “Thank you to everyone who made this campaign a success. Let’s keep the momentum going and make recycling a lasting part of our lives. Your efforts have made a significant impact.
