In an unprecedented twist Mzansi television audience are now spoiled for choice, thanks to the newly launchedStar Life – the brand-new HD lifestyle channel that wasrecently beamed for the first time in the country on DStv, GOtv and Openview respectively.

 

 

At a recent launchin Sandton’s plush hotel, Michelangeloexecutives of Global TV powerhousetold the packed audience that this exclusive channel was just what the doctor ordered for African audiences.

 

Star Network also pronounced that this new channel will be a 24/7 English language channel showcasing the very best family dramas, celebrity dance shows and blockbuster movies from Star’s famed library of A-List Bollywood movies, adapted in English for local audiences.

It was further stressed that Star Life is appealing to a broader audience and brings to Africa extraordinary journeys of ordinary people, progressive storylines, inspirational characters and compelling dramas – produced to the highest international production standards.

Gaurav Jandwani, Senior Vice President & Business Head UK/Europe & South Africa, Star Network told the audience that it’s a momentous occasion to take their stories around the globe.

He also revealed that his organisation tries hard to push the boundaries because it makes good business sense.

Who ever is the producer for starlife should check his head ever since I have open view it’s the same programs over and over and there’s more adverts than enything else I will soon disconnect open view it’s so sickining

Please bring Brave n Beautiful and some of the older soapies like Crossroads and Geet or Family Affairs into the 6pm and 7pm timeslots even if they are reruns due to covid not liking the new ones would love to see some of the old favourites back

I agree with many viewers that your channel showcases and has a very limited number of Indian movies that gets shown so often that the repeats are actually becoming so annoying now.

What seems to be the problem. Get us some more good indian movies, please

Please consider showing other movies too many repeats on movies and will be nice to have the channel on a dual language

Lovely series however there are too many adverts technically we are only watching 30 min of the series itself!
