This tournament is hosted by the South African Football Association (SAFA) in partnership with the Department of Basic Education, Sports, Arts and Culture as well as the SA Schools Sports.
Nine provincial teams (boys and girls) will go head-to head for the title of South African U15 Schools Champions.
The two winning provincial teams will be crowned South African National Schools Champions.
Players who have impressed the SAFA Technical scouts will earn invitations to the upcoming U15 National Team camp, for a spot in the final team to represent South Africa at the next African Schools Championships in Namibia from 9 – 10 September 2024. These players may also go on to join the SAFA Academy in 2025.
The winning two teams will have immense pressure to emulate their predecessors. South Africa has dominated the African Schools Championships with Edendale Technical School winning three consecutive championships, while Clapham High and Ubuntu High Schools have represented the boys section.
