R100 000 UP FOR GRABS IN FOR ONE LUCKY FAN IN TKO ROUND OF 16

The highly anticipated Telkom Knockout, is set to kickoff this weekend with Last 16 action that will give supporters throughout the country a chance to win big.

No matter which team you are backing this week, Telkom will ensure that there will be 0% heartbreak for fans. To start winning, fans can dial *123# from a Telkom sim card and purchase a bundle. Bundles purchased will be multiplied by the combined score of the game with the most goals in the round of 16. By entering the competition, supporters will also stand a chance to win a whopping R100 000 cash prize.

In addition to this exciting competition, Telkom is giving fans a fantastic opportunity to nominate a deserving school to win football kit and equipment worth R50 000. The winning school will receive a football clinic to help develop the stars of tomorrow. To nominate a school, supporters can simply sms the name of the school to 33927.

Tickets for the Last 16 are currently on sale at Ticketpro outlets nationwide, which include Edgars, CNA, Postnet, Jet stores or online at www.ticketpro.co.za. They are sold at R40 for adults and R15 for children under the age of 12.

To kick start the Last 16 of the Telkom Knockout, Maritzburg United will host 2006 winners Platinum Stars (back then known as Silver Stars) at Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday, October 27. The game will kick off at 8pm.

The following day, Saturday October 28, will be an action packed day, with mouth-watering encounters to keep fans on the edge of their seats. An unpredictable Golden Arrows side will take on 2012 winners Orlando Pirates at Princess Magogo Stadium at 15h30 and Ajax Cape Town will visit Polokwane City at the same time at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. That, as football loving people would say, will just be the warm-up because the action will get even hotter with 2012 winners Bloemfontein Celtic taking on SuperSport United, who won the competition in 2014, at Dr. Molemela Stadium at 18h15.

Also on Saturday, there’ll be an interesting battle between Bidvest Wits and Free State Stars at Bidvest Stadium at 20h15 and three-time champions Kaizer Chiefs will host AmaZulu, who will enjoy the pleasure of playing in knockout competition following their return from the National First Division.

To end the feast of football on the weekend, Baroka FC will take on defending champions Cape Town City while Chippa United will host 2015 champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday, October 28.-SAFA WEBSITE
