THIS CUP IS ONE OF OUR OBJECTIVES-NABI

Hot on the heels of bagging the Cufa Cup, Kaizer Chiefs now turn their attention to the Carling Black Label Knockout Cup, where they will face SuperSport United in the round of 16 at the New Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane on Saturday evening

Coach Nasreddine Nabi discussed the build-up to the clash with www.kaizerchiefs.com:

On the preparations for the match:

All the players are completely focused on the game. Everybody knows what they have to do. We know our plan and we have assessed our opponents, their players, their style. For us, as the technical staff, that is very important. This cup is one of our objectives for the season. As I said previously, we go out to win every game so with this game it is the same. We had a tough game against Marumo Gallants last week that prepared us well for this game, so we are ready.

On the state of the squad:

The long-term injured players still aren’t back. They are at various stages of their rehabilitation programmes and we hope to have them back as soon as possible.

On the return of players from international duty:

Our international players all came back healthy, although some of them had very long travels and are a little bit tired. We have had some recovery sessions and we’ll see how they are before we announce the team, but they are with us.

The match kicks off at 20:00.
