The Food and Beverage Genoa Team of MSC Cruises recently visited Johannesburg and Durban to test some of the local suppliers’ products in need of review for the forthcoming 2025/2026 local cruise season in Southern Africa and proceeded to donate, for the 3rd year in a row, all the food surplus from the tests.
Over 700 kilograms of meats (Beef, Lamb, Pork and processed products), together with some dry products, were released to Little Eden with the valid assistance of the host Emiliano Casanoves, owner of the Papa Pronto restaurant where the tests were conducted and Andreas Eracleous, owner of one of the official suppliers of MSC Cruises in South Africa, Tavros Trading, who provided the refrigerated transport.
Ann Coetzee, newly appointed CEO of the NPO, with a wealth of experience in the South African Charity and Rehabilitation space, was in attendance to accept the donation on behalf of Little Eden.

With a yearly offering of cruises for Little Eden to raffle and the donation of food to the Charity, MSC Cruises reaffirms its responsible role to the South African local communities by assisting those in need, whatever their background.
