KICK-FOR-A-MILLION COMPETITION HEATS UP AS WOZA NAZO MOVES TO EAST LONDON

Football loving fans in the Eastern Cape will be afforded an opportunity of a lifetime to win big when the now popular Absa Premiership Kick-For-A-Million competition rolls into town this weekend.

The crunch Woza Nazo fixture between home side Chippa United and the resurgent SuperSport United takes place at Sisa Dukashe stadium in Mdantsane on Sunday afternoon (3:30pm). This will see sponsors of the Absa Premiership, Absa, secure its 9th finalist of the Kick-for-a-Million (KFAM) competition for the 2018/19 season.

The Kick-for-a-Million consumer competition which continues to change soccer fans lives since its inception last season, will be no different in East London this weekend. This is due to the competition being a fan favourite across the country as fans look forward to the Woza Nazo fixture in the domestic league.

Mtunzi Jonas, Absa Head of Sponsorships, said: “We are excited to be making our way to East London to engage with some of the most passionate fans down there. We encourage fans of both teams to come in their numbers, to Bring Their Voice in backing their teams and stand in line to win a once-in-lifetime opportunity. Absa is still there every step of the way to ensure we provide soccer fans with unique and life-changing experiences as they bring their passion, song and dance on the grandstands.”

Jonas continues: “Through our Kick-For-A-Million competition, Absa is positively impacting football in South Africa as will be witnessed in Mdantsane on Sunday. We are investing in the fans and giving them a reason to come back to the stadiums in their numbers”. On the field of play, a huge battle for points awaits the two Absa Premiership teams as the ‘Chilli Boys’ desperately need maximum points against ‘Matsatsantsa a Pitori’, a team they have only beaten once in 11 outings since their elevation to the Absa Premiership. Both teams come to the clash with contrasting fortunes – Chippa lying one point above the relegation/playoff spot while United find themselves just six points behind log leaders Bidvest Wits, with both teams having played 21 games.

United have won more matches in the previous encounters between the two teams as they have collected five victories to Chippa’s solitary win, with the other matches having ended in stalemates.

Throughout the week, local fans in East London have been given the opportunity to win Absa Red Tickets to this exciting Woza Nazo fixture when they open and activate an Absa transactional account at four Absa branches in the city. The promotion has been running since Monday, 25 February and will finish on Friday, 1 March.
