ADIDAS AND MANCHESTER UNITED UNVEIL 2026/27 HOME JERSEY

  • New home jersey reintroduces Manchester United’s iconic polo collar and striped detailing, inspired by the club’s 1970s heritage
  • “United” sign-off on the back reinforces the club’s identity, while engineered fabric construction delivers performance innovation for the modern game
  • The new Manchester United Home Jersey is available via selected adidas retail stores and adidas.co.za/football.

Today, Manchester United and adidas reveal the new home jersey for the 2026/27 season, with a design that draws on United heritage with a modern expression built for the next chapter in the club’s storied history.

Inspired by the 1970s, a clean red base allows the iconic polo collar and striped cuffs to take centre stage, bringing a refined and unmistakably United look back to the pitch.

The collar execution, combined with subtle striping details, references the kits worn during the club’s Domestic Cup triumph in 1977 – marking the 50th anniversary of that historic moment. This connection to the past is balanced with a contemporary construction, creating a jersey that feels both nostalgic and progressive.

White accents across the adidas three stripes and branding provide a sharp contrast against the red base, while black detailing is integrated subtly throughout the design, reinforcing the club’s classic colour palette.  A “United” sign-off on the back of the neck rounds off the look.

Designed for elite performance, the jersey features lightweight, body-mapped 3D engineered fabrics that enhance fit and freedom of movement. Incorporating adidas’ latest CLIMACOOL+ materials, the jersey wicks sweat faster to keep players drier for longer, while perforated three-stripe tapes and strategically placed mesh zones deliver best-in-class breathability and ventilation.

The 2026/27 Home kit is completed with white shorts and black socks, creating a balanced and iconic look.

The new Manchester United Home jersey will be available from today at selected adidas retail locations, and online at adidas.co.za.
