Ntseki announces Amajimbos squad for training camp
28 March 2018 – The South African U17 Men’s National Football team (Amajimbos), will report back into camp over the Easter period and national school holidays, to continue their training camp for 2018.
Amajimbos head coach, Molefi Ntseki is building a squad in preparation for the 2018 COSAFA Youth Championships, CAF U17 African Cup of Nations and aiming to qualify for the 2019 FIFA World Cup.
Ntseki has called up 30 players for this camp and will be looking to build on the work done over the last eight months.
“We have invited a few new players to this training camp and also looked into a few that we spotted last year but failed to use due to them not having travel documents.
I believe that following our first training camp in January 2018, we are on course with the core of the squad and players now need to show the hunger to be in the National set up as we get closer to the qualifiers. We are hoping to make good use of these school holidays and hopefully get an international friendly match or two within this period; just to ensure that we maximize the time spent with the boys; “said Ntseki.
Amajimbos will report for camp on Friday, 30 March until 8 April at the SAFA Technical Centre in Johannesburg.
