Following recent National Budget Statement by Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana and State of the Provincial Address by the Gauteng Premier, Panyanza Lesufi respectively.
All eyes will be on Finance MEC, Jacob Mamabolo who is expected to deliver the 2024 Gauteng Budget Speech at the Legislature next week Tuesday 05 March 2024.
This Budget is the fifth and the last of the 6th Provincial Administration. The 2024 MTEF Budget will therefore reflect on the financial performance of the province in the last first years and provide details of how available resources will be used within a tight fiscal environment, to fund key priorities of the provincial government going forward.
According to Gauteng Treasury, These priorities include growing the economy, job creation, the fight against crime and the commitment to change the living conditions of people in the townships,informal settlements, and hostels.
